After.Life

Celia Weston plays Beatrice Taylor, the wheelchair-using, controlling mother of Anna in the film After.Life. It is not explained why the character uses a wheelchair, but I presume the wheelchair use is age-related.

Beatrice Taylor repeatedly complains to others about Anna “not taking care of me”, though she seems to have ample money to hire an attendant. She also blames her daughter’s fiance for taking her away, thus turning into the stereotype of the dependent wheelchair user.

However, it’s interesting to note that though Beatrice Taylor seems to be the cause of her daughter’s unhappiness, the serial killer who targets people who aren’t living their lives to the fullest doesn’t target her.
