From Evan Ginzburg, Associate Producer of The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke, Theresa Sareo: Alive Again is the inspirational documentary about NY-based singer/songwriter Theresa Sareo whose life was forever changed when an impaired driver of an SUV caused the loss of her entire right leg.
This riveting and uplifting full-length documentary chronicles not only her challenging physical and emotional rehabilitation and courageous return to her musical career, but also her dedication to trauma victims and wounded military across the nation. Seven years to the day of her near fatal accident, Theresa returns to the scene to honor her first responders at a moving ceremony on the corner of 34th Street and Park Avenue. The very same evening she also performs a sold out live concert of her original music on Broadway, thus turning the tragic event into a triumphant celebration.
Funny, poignant and musically electrifying, first-time director Rye Joseph captures Theresa’s determination to survive, give service to others, and keep her musical dreams alive.
