The inaugural Disorder film festival is seeking films about the challenges of living with a rare disease, with the aim of increasing awareness among the general public and medical researchers. The two founders of both parents of children with rare diseases who met at an advocacy conference and realized that they had both made films about their family’s experiences. They were disappointed to discover that there were no film festivals dedicated to rare diseases, so they started their own. The festival is set to take place on October 3rd in Boston, Massachusetts.
